Hugh Jackman Mimics The Mask, Jim Carrey Responds As Wolverine

Hugh Jackman’s Dubsmash addiction knows no limits. He’s gone from lip-syncing Adventure Times‘ “Bacon Pancakes” song to excitedly mouthing the words to Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream,” and now he’s animated his face mimicking Jim Carrey’s “Ssssmokin’!” performance from the 1994 comic book movie The Mask.

Jackman posted the video (view below) on Tuesday, along with this message to Carrey: “Mate trying my best to do justice! Clearly, I should stay in my own lane.”

Carrey, who always gives as good as he gets, responded in kind on Wednesday, spoofing Jackman’s Wolverine. However, the comedian’s take on the character utilized kitchen utensils for claws and a more exaggerated version of his iconic hair-style.

Ant-Man and Falcon Fight Sequence Has Been Released Online

Ant-Man and Falcon Fight Sequence Has Been Released Online

For those of you who enjoyed Marvel’s Ant-Man, the full fight sequence between Ant-Man and Falcon has found its way online for you to enjoy. This was such an entertaining scene, and it would have been even more awesome if Marvel would have held back on using Falcon in the marketing material. I guess they really wanted to make sure audiences knew that this movie was connected to the rest of the MCU. I would have loved not knowing that Falcon was going to make an appearance, but once the studio started including him in the trailers, there’s not much you can do about that. It was really fun to see how this sequence paid off at the end of the movie, offering fans a little set-up for Captain America: Civil War.

Ant-Man had such a different vibe than the rest of the Marvel films, which I thought was refreshing. As we get closer to Doctor Strange, that tone is going to change even more, because we will be getting into the whole supernatural realm of the Marvel Universe, which is going to open up some crazy mind-blowing possibilities. The clip was released in advance of the film’s Chinese debut.

Warning: There are SPOILERS AHEAD for the end credits scene in Marvel’s Ant-Man!

Marvel fans who stayed to the end of the credits of Ant-Man know at least one thing about Captain America: Civil War: The Winter Soldier has been found. Captain America, a.k.a. Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), and Falcon, a.k.a. Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), were featured in a scene as they debated who to call, while Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) was somehow immobilized.

This does beg the question of how Bucky was taken down, and whether it was at the hands of Falcon or someone else within the movie. Stan was recently asked about that teaser secene, and he seemed to hint that there is more going on in that sequence than is readily apparent.

“I think [what Bucky was caught in was] more of a vise,” said Stan. “But it would never happen at his own hand, by his own doing… In terms of that scene in Ant-Man, I’ve seen some of the ideas people have about it and I would just say that whatever you’re seeing on the surface, it’s not as obvious as that. There might be a whole lot more to the scene. I would say someone would probably want to put him in a vise.”

Meanwhile, Jeremy Renner has also been speaking about Hawkeye’s role in Civil War. At the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Hawkeye seemingly left the Avengers to spend time with his family. But according to Renner, Hawkeye’s return will be physically demanding.

“It’s more active,” related Renner. “A lot of fun stuff happening in that one. I can’t speak too much for it. They’re still filming that sucker right now. But yeah, there’s a lot of stuff happening in that one physically for me anyway. Then who knows in the future? I don’t know what’s going to happen.”

Captain America: Civil War will be released on May 6, 2016.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Promo Art Confirms Superhero Teams

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Promo Art Confirms Superhero Teams

SPOILER WARNING!

When it was announced that Marvel was going to make Captain America: Civil War, fan speculation began on which of the Avengers would team up with Captain America and which ones would join forces with Iron Man.

Thanks to CBM, we now know who makes up each of these teams because of some promo art for the film that they managed to get their hands on. If you don’t want to know who makes team Cap and team Iron Man, then don’t go any further.

On team Iron Man, we have War Machine, Black Widow, Black Panther and Vision. He may not be in the image, but we also previously learned that Spider-Man will be on his team as well. Then if Bruce Banner is in the film, we all know whose side he will choose.

On team Captain America, we have Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, and Sharon Carter. Then there’s Scarlet Witch, who is also not included in the art, but will be fighting for Cap’s cause.

Below the images, you will find a video from Mr. Sunday Movies discussing the teams.

“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

‘Ant-Man’: Evangeline Lilly Confirms She’s Been Scanned For a Super Suit

Please be aware there are Ant-Man spoilers below. Evangeline Lilly was a scene-stealer in Marvel’s Ant-Man. Her character, Hope Van Dyne was a ass-kicking, proficient, no-nonsense businesswoman who helped whip Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) into Ant-Man quality shape, mended fences with her secretive father Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and played a vital role in preventing an international catastrophe at the hands of the nefarious Darren Cross (Corey Stoll). All without ever getting her hands on a super suit.

For those of you who wanted to see Hope fill the role of The Wasp, it sounds like your wishes will come true in due course. During a fan Q&A session on social media, Lilly confirmed she was fitted for the supersuit, though she hasn’t had a chance to try it on yet.

On her official Facebook page, a fan asked Lilly if she’s worn the suit yet, to which she replied,

I was scanned for #TheWassuit, but then I got pregnant. Let’s hope I fit it again! #ineedtime!”

She later clarified that while she went through the scanning process she was a wee bit pregnant to ever try it on.

No Ant-Man sequel has been ordered yet, but the size-shifting superhero has been confirmed for Captain America: Civil War, and the post-credit scenes made a pretty strong statement that Marvel has plans for these characters in the future of the MCU. So it’s not entirely surprising to hear that Lilly’s been fitted for a suit, but in tangent with the post-credits sequence, it’s revealing of what Marvel has planned for her character.

For those who need a little refresher, Hope’s mother Janet was the original Wasp, who worked alongside Hank and sacrificed herself during a mission, falling irretrievably (maybe) into the Quantum Realm. Due to his guilt over her loss, Hank would never let Hope wear the Ant-Man suit, no matter how badly she wanted, and she wanted really badly. It’s a huge source of contention between the father and daughter, but the post-credits scene revealed that Hank’s been building her a super suit of her own all along, and he’s finally ready to trust Hope with it.

Lilly also spoke briefly about Edgar Wright‘s incarnation of Hope Van Dyne and how the character changed when Peyton Reed took the helm.

She became more relatable and a little less like an original, 1960’s comic book character. I LOVED both versions, but the version we settled with fit better in the #marvelverse. I’d still love to do Edgar Wright‘s version, too.

The actress spoke briefly about it on Twitter as well, describing Wright’s version as “tres Film Noir”.

I’ve got to say, at this point it seems a little silly to still be so hung up on Wright’s version of the film. I understand, Wright’s film probably would have been amazing, but as a huge fan of what Reed pulled off in his final version, it’s a bit much to still be harping on what “could have been”.

It’s likely going to be quite a while until we figure out what Marvel has planned for Hope, but based on the post-credits scenes, Lilly’s comments and Marvel’s predilection for building up heroes on their own turf before throwing them in the multi-hero pics, I’d say it’s a safe bet to expect some Wasp down the line. Maybe Infinity War‘s gonna be her time.

What do you think? Is the Wasp a guarantee in future MCU films? Looking forward to seeing Lilly fill the suit? Sound off in the comments below.
