14 Character Photos for GOTHAM Season 2

Just the other day we posted a brief promo spot for Gotham, which took us a little bit further into Bruce Wayne’s future Batcave. Today we have a series of promo photos featuring all the main characters that will see in the upcoming second season.

Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. He is one of the crime world’s greatest foes, a man whose reputation is synonymous with law and order. But what is known of Gordon’s story and his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the multiple layers of corruption that secretly ruled Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world’s most iconic villains? And what circumstances created them – the larger-than-life personas who would become Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and The Joker?

Gotham is an origin story of the great DC Comics super villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. From executive producer/writer Bruno Heller (The Mentalist, Rome), Gotham follows one cop’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.

The series stars Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, Sean Pertwee, Robin Lord Taylor, Erin Richards, David Mazouz, Camren Bicondova, Zabryna Guevara, Cory Michael Smith, Victoria Cartagena, Andrew Stewart Jones, and John Doman. Some of the newcomers include James Frain and Jessica Lucas as Theo and Tabitha Galavan, and Michael Chiklis as Captain Nathaniel Barnes.

Gotham Season 2 is set to premiere on September 21st.

Watch: Funny Gag Reel For AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

The blooper reel from Avengers: Age of Ultron has been released online, and it features over three minutes of amusing footage. In it we see the cast members goofing around on the set, messing up their lines, swearing, and there’s even a little making out.

This is the full reel that will be a part of the special features that are included in the upcoming DVD/Blu-ray for the Marvel film. As you’ll see, it looks like everyone had a blast making this movie!

Watch Teens React to FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’s 4

The Fine Bros. have released another episode of React, which gives us humorous look at the reactions of teens as the play the popular horror video game Five Nights at Freddy’s 4. My kids love playing this game, and it’s kind of fun to watch them freak out while playing it. I’ve got to say though, the reactions of these teenagers is even funnier because they seem to get more scared by the game than my kids do.

Hugh Jackman Awesomely Fulfills the Wish of a Young Fan with Cystic Fibrosis

Here’s a feel-good story for the day! Hugh Jackman surprised a young Wolverine fan named Dominic on an Australian radio show on KIIS 1065. This was all made possible due to the efforts of the wonderful individuals at the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Dominic has cystic fibrosis.

Jackman leads Dominic to believe he was on set and was only able to talk with him via phone. But then Jackman pops into the sound room with his Wolverine face on, and Dominic just looks like he is in bliss. The two then proceed to talk about Wolverine. I love seeing stuff like this! Watch how it all plays out in the video below.

Hugh Jackman Mimics The Mask, Jim Carrey Responds As Wolverine

Hugh Jackman’s Dubsmash addiction knows no limits. He’s gone from lip-syncing Adventure Times‘ “Bacon Pancakes” song to excitedly mouthing the words to Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream,” and now he’s animated his face mimicking Jim Carrey’s “Ssssmokin’!” performance from the 1994 comic book movie The Mask.

Jackman posted the video (view below) on Tuesday, along with this message to Carrey: “Mate trying my best to do justice! Clearly, I should stay in my own lane.”

Carrey, who always gives as good as he gets, responded in kind on Wednesday, spoofing Jackman’s Wolverine. However, the comedian’s take on the character utilized kitchen utensils for claws and a more exaggerated version of his iconic hair-style.

Ant-Man and Falcon Fight Sequence Has Been Released Online

For those of you who enjoyed Marvel’s Ant-Man, the full fight sequence between Ant-Man and Falcon has found its way online for you to enjoy. This was such an entertaining scene, and it would have been even more awesome if Marvel would have held back on using Falcon in the marketing material. I guess they really wanted to make sure audiences knew that this movie was connected to the rest of the MCU. I would have loved not knowing that Falcon was going to make an appearance, but once the studio started including him in the trailers, there’s not much you can do about that. It was really fun to see how this sequence paid off at the end of the movie, offering fans a little set-up for Captain America: Civil War.

Ant-Man had such a different vibe than the rest of the Marvel films, which I thought was refreshing. As we get closer to Doctor Strange, that tone is going to change even more, because we will be getting into the whole supernatural realm of the Marvel Universe, which is going to open up some crazy mind-blowing possibilities. The clip was released in advance of the film’s Chinese debut.

Warning: There are SPOILERS AHEAD for the end credits scene in Marvel’s Ant-Man!

Marvel fans who stayed to the end of the credits of Ant-Man know at least one thing about Captain America: Civil War: The Winter Soldier has been found. Captain America, a.k.a. Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), and Falcon, a.k.a. Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), were featured in a scene as they debated who to call, while Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) was somehow immobilized.

This does beg the question of how Bucky was taken down, and whether it was at the hands of Falcon or someone else within the movie. Stan was recently asked about that teaser secene, and he seemed to hint that there is more going on in that sequence than is readily apparent.

“I think [what Bucky was caught in was] more of a vise,” said Stan. “But it would never happen at his own hand, by his own doing… In terms of that scene in Ant-Man, I’ve seen some of the ideas people have about it and I would just say that whatever you’re seeing on the surface, it’s not as obvious as that. There might be a whole lot more to the scene. I would say someone would probably want to put him in a vise.”

Meanwhile, Jeremy Renner has also been speaking about Hawkeye’s role in Civil War. At the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Hawkeye seemingly left the Avengers to spend time with his family. But according to Renner, Hawkeye’s return will be physically demanding.

“It’s more active,” related Renner. “A lot of fun stuff happening in that one. I can’t speak too much for it. They’re still filming that sucker right now. But yeah, there’s a lot of stuff happening in that one physically for me anyway. Then who knows in the future? I don’t know what’s going to happen.”

Captain America: Civil War will be released on May 6, 2016.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Promo Art Confirms Superhero Teams

SPOILER WARNING!

When it was announced that Marvel was going to make Captain America: Civil War, fan speculation began on which of the Avengers would team up with Captain America and which ones would join forces with Iron Man.

Thanks to CBM, we now know who makes up each of these teams because of some promo art for the film that they managed to get their hands on. If you don’t want to know who makes team Cap and team Iron Man, then don’t go any further.

On team Iron Man, we have War Machine, Black Widow, Black Panther and Vision. He may not be in the image, but we also previously learned that Spider-Man will be on his team as well. Then if Bruce Banner is in the film, we all know whose side he will choose.

On team Captain America, we have Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, and Sharon Carter. Then there’s Scarlet Witch, who is also not included in the art, but will be fighting for Cap’s cause.

Below the images, you will find a video from Mr. Sunday Movies discussing the teams.

“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

‘Ant-Man’: Evangeline Lilly Confirms She’s Been Scanned For a Super Suit

Please be aware there are Ant-Man spoilers below. Evangeline Lilly was a scene-stealer in Marvel’s Ant-Man. Her character, Hope Van Dyne was a ass-kicking, proficient, no-nonsense businesswoman who helped whip Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) into Ant-Man quality shape, mended fences with her secretive father Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and played a vital role in preventing an international catastrophe at the hands of the nefarious Darren Cross (Corey Stoll). All without ever getting her hands on a super suit.

For those of you who wanted to see Hope fill the role of The Wasp, it sounds like your wishes will come true in due course. During a fan Q&A session on social media, Lilly confirmed she was fitted for the supersuit, though she hasn’t had a chance to try it on yet.

ant-man-paul-rudd-evangeline-lilly

On her official Facebook page, a fan asked Lilly if she’s worn the suit yet, to which she replied,

I was scanned for #TheWassuit, but then I got pregnant. Let’s hope I fit it again! #ineedtime!”

She later clarified that while she went through the scanning process she was a wee bit pregnant to ever try it on.

No Ant-Man sequel has been ordered yet, but the size-shifting superhero has been confirmed for Captain America: Civil War, and the post-credit scenes made a pretty strong statement that Marvel has plans for these characters in the future of the MCU. So it’s not entirely surprising to hear that Lilly’s been fitted for a suit, but in tangent with the post-credits sequence, it’s revealing of what Marvel has planned for her character.

For those who need a little refresher, Hope’s mother Janet was the original Wasp, who worked alongside Hank and sacrificed herself during a mission, falling irretrievably (maybe) into the Quantum Realm. Due to his guilt over her loss, Hank would never let Hope wear the Ant-Man suit, no matter how badly she wanted, and she wanted really badly. It’s a huge source of contention between the father and daughter, but the post-credits scene revealed that Hank’s been building her a super suit of her own all along, and he’s finally ready to trust Hope with it.

ant-man-paul-rudd-evangeline-lilly-michael-douglas

Lilly also spoke briefly about Edgar Wright‘s incarnation of Hope Van Dyne and how the character changed when Peyton Reed took the helm.

She became more relatable and a little less like an original, 1960’s comic book character. I LOVED both versions, but the version we settled with fit better in the #marvelverse. I’d still love to do Edgar Wright‘s version, too.

The actress spoke briefly about it on Twitter as well, describing Wright’s version as “tres Film Noir”.

I’ve got to say, at this point it seems a little silly to still be so hung up on Wright’s version of the film. I understand, Wright’s film probably would have been amazing, but as a huge fan of what Reed pulled off in his final version, it’s a bit much to still be harping on what “could have been”.

It’s likely going to be quite a while until we figure out what Marvel has planned for Hope, but based on the post-credits scenes, Lilly’s comments and Marvel’s predilection for building up heroes on their own turf before throwing them in the multi-hero pics, I’d say it’s a safe bet to expect some Wasp down the line. Maybe Infinity War‘s gonna be her time.

What do you think? Is the Wasp a guarantee in future MCU films? Looking forward to seeing Lilly fill the suit? Sound off in the comments below.

How GUARDIANS OF THE GALLAXY’S Groot Helped a Child Overcome His Speech Disorder

James Gunn‘s Guardians of the Galaxy is not only a great film, it has also done some good in the world. Four-year-old Sawyer Dunlop suffers from a condition called dyspraxia, which affects a child’s motor functions and can impair their ability to speak. After he watched Guardians of the Galaxy, though, something seemed to change in him. The young boy connected with Groot in a way helped him make some incredible changes. Sawyer’s Dad, Josh, posted a message to Gunn on Facebook, explaining what has happened:

Hi James…This is in response to your recent post about Guardians being released a year ago and the effect it has had on my son. My son is four years old and has a condition known as dyspraxia, which not only interferes with motor skills but speech as well. When Guardians came out Sawyer could only say about three words and would communicate to his mother and I by other means. When he saw Groot, something clicked inside him and he connected with him on a level I haven’t seen. He began to mimic him and he would use the word “Bah” for a lot, but after he saw the film, he would change the tone in which he said it to convey a different meaning. He would also start saying Groot for many things as well. Since that, he was finally able to go to a speech class and it has helped amazingly. I just wanted to thank you though, for a script and movie that was written so well that a four year old, three at that time, could connect with someone who had the same language barrier.

It’s great to see some of the magic from this movie rub off into the world. This is one of those stories that might help restore your faith in humanity: this goes to show that good things happen in the world. We are Groot.

First Look at Michael Chiklis In Gotham as Captain Nathaniel Barnes

Fox has released a new photo from Gotham season two, giving fans their first look at Michael Chiklis as Captain Nathaniel Barnes. The character is described as a “law and order zealot who lands on the GCPD like a tornado, ripping out the dead wood of Gotham’s police force.”

The character will be introduced in the fourth episode of the season, which is titled “Strike Force.” Strike Force is a nod to Chiklis’ lawless police team from The Shield. The cop he’s playing on Gotham is a lot more moral than Vic Mackey, though.

The second season of Gotham premieres Monday, September 21st on FOX.

Ridiculously Awesome Video Game Ad For Madden NFL 16

EA Games has released an ad for their upcoming game Madden NFL 16, and it seriously might just be one of the craziest and best video game ads that I’ve seen. It’s called Madden: The Movie and it features Dave Franco, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Julio Jones, Rob Gronkowski, Colin Kaepernick, Antonio Brown, and Rex Ryan.

The video came along with a note that says, “Watch what happens when you assemble a team of playmakers… to take down an evil boss in a game of Madden?” It is ridiculously over-the-top in every way, and I loved it. Hell, I’d rather play a game like this than I would Madden NFL 16!

The game with be available on August 25th on PS4 and Xbox One.

Trailer and Clip from LION KING Sequel Series THE LION GUARD: RETURN OF THE ROAR

Disney has released the first trailer and clip from their new animated Lion King series, which serves as a sequel to the 1994 film. It’s called The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar. The series is obviously geared towards kids, but it looks like something that I would enjoy watching with my girls.

The Lion Guard centers on Kion as he assumes the role of leader of the Lion Guard, a team of animals in charge of preserving the Pride Lands. Instead of asking the fiercest and strongest lions to help him, Kion looks to his friends whom he believes have the most heroic qualities. This group includes Kion’s best friend Bunga, a fearless honey badger (Joshua Rush); Ono, an intellectual egret (The Middle’s Atticus Shaffer); Fuli, a confident cheetah (Diamond White) and Beshte, a friendly and good-spirited hippo (Dusan Brown).

The series also includes the voices of James Earl Jones and Ernie Sabella, who will reprise their roles as Mufasa and Pumbaa. Max Charles (The Strain) will voice Simba and Nala’s second-born cub, Kion. Rob Lowe and Gabrielle Union will be voicing Simba and Nala. On top of that, we have Khary Payton (Teen Titans) as Rafiki and Kevin Schon (The Lion King’s Timon and Pumbaa) as Timon. Other voice cast members include Modern Family star Sarah Hyland and All My Children‘s Eden Riegel.

The Lion King: Return of the Roar is a film that will launch the series. It will debut on the Disney Channel in November, then the full television series will follow in January of 2016.

SOUTH PARK and DRAGON BALL Z is a Match Made in Heaven

For those of you who are unaware of KaiserNeko, he and his friends do comedy fan abridgements of the popular Dragon Ball Z series. What’s a comedy fan abridgement, you ask? Well, they take the meat of the episode of an anime — in this case Dragon Ball Z — and abridge it to be shorter and funnier than its source material. KaiserNeko voices many characters on TeamFourStar, which posts their abridged Dragon Ball Z videos online on YouTube and Teamfourstar.com.

Kaiserneko recently posted this very funny mashup of South Park and Dragon Ball Z. It somehow perfectly matches the look of the very powerful characters that are dubbed over them. It’s a short video, but hilarious. Check out more of KaiserNeko’s stuff on Tumblr http://kaiserneko.tumblr.com/.

Stan Lee Reveals his Least Favorite Marvel Movies

stanlee8242012.jpeg

Want to know what Stan Lee‘s least favorite Marvel movies are? In a recent interview at the 2012 Fan Expo in Canada, the comic book legend talked about his characters being adapted for the big screen. He loved The Avengers, but didn’t seem to really care for some of the other films that were made before Marvel started making their own movies.

I would have liked the Hulk to be smaller in the first two movies, and I didn’t like the way Doctor Doom was portrayed in Fantastic Four. Now with Daredevil, they just wrote the whole thing wrong. They made him too tragic. That’s not the way I wrote him. I think they’re working on a new Daredevil movie and it will be better, so hold your judgment until then.

He then goes on to talk about about some of the Marvel superheroes he’d like to see up on the big screen,

Deadpool is such a popular character, I’d be surprised if he wasn’t in his own movie in the near future, or introduced in another movie first. They’re thinking about a Doctor Strange movie, a Black Panther movie, an Ant-Man movie—there’s just so many ideas in the works right now at Marvel!

He obviously isn’t up to date on what’s going on in the Marvel movie world. The Daredevil movie has been scrapped, and Fox is letting the rights revert back to Marvel. Deadpool has been in development for years, but is currently sitting in hell. As for Doctor Strange, Black Panther and Ant-Man, all of them are in development with scripts, but Ant-Man is the closest one to getting the green light.

What are your thoughts on Fantastic Four, the way Doctor Doom was Portrayed, and Daredevil?

Emily Blunt on Captain Marvel and the Two Marvel Roles She Turned Down

Emily Blunt has had two chances so far to play a Marvel character, but she turned both of them down. The first role was Black Widow, which she had to turn down because she was contractually obligated to star in another movie at 20th Century Fox. That movie was the horrendous Gulliver’s Travel with Jack Black. Personally, I think she would have made an amazing Black Widow. Don’t get me wrong! Scarlett Johansson is great as Black Widow, and she owns the part, but after seeing Blunt kick-ass in Edge of Tomorrow… damn, I could see her being a great Black Widow, as well. The other role that she walked away from was Peggy Carter.

The two roles came up in a conversation with Vulture, when they asked if she had been offered the chance to play Captain Marvel, to which she replied:

“No one’s offered me that officially, so it’s… very unofficial. I think it’s fan-casting, which is always very nice. But nothing official has been offered, for sure. If I get it, thank Meryl [Streep] for it!”

I’d love to see her in the role of Captain Marvel. The studio obviously wants to bring her into their cinematic universe. There’s always a chance that Captain Marvel could be their chance. She then talked about why she turned down the first two offers from Marvel, saying,

“It was never the right time, really, and it just didn’t work out scheduling-wise with those two. It’s always a difficult thing to talk about, because it’s not fair to the actresses who ended up playing them, you know? It just wasn’t the right time.”

Even if Blunt doesn’t play Captain Marvel, I’m sure one day she will be introduced as a character in the MCU. The question is, who will it be?!

POKKEN TOURNAMENT Coming to Wii U Spring 2016

The popular Japanese arcade game and first Pokemon fighting game Pokken Tournament is coming to the U.S! Kotaku reports we should see the game hit shelves stateside in Spring 2016. Obviously this is awesome news for Wii U owners, Pokemon fans, and fighting game fanatics.

The game is almost more comparable in style to Power Stone than Street Fighter, as the movement of fighters looks fairly fluid and open. No official roster has been announced yet, but the Pokemon I’ve seen include Machamp, Lucario, Pikachu, Charizard, Guardevoir, Gengar, Suicune, Weavile, and Blaziken. I’m sure we’ll see more annonuced as the date draws closer.

I was super jealous when I first heard about this game and watching all the footage of people playing it in Japan gets me all the more hyped! See some of the game in action below!
