Everything In Minecraft Becomes Candy With New Pocket Edition/Windows 10 Texture Pack

A new texture pack is available for Minecraft‘s mobile and Windows 10 versions.

The Candy Texture Pack introduces a “dentist-weepingly high amount of sugar into your game.” It does so by replacing all textures with sweet treats. Really. Take a look at the image below to get an idea for what to expect.

Already available for the console versions of Minecraft, the Candy Texture Pack costs $3. Itcomes to the mobile and Windows 10 versions through the 1.03 update; the update is free, but the texture pack is not.

As outlined on Minecraft’s website, this update also adds localization support for Dutch and makes a variety of bug figures. For example, it fixes a crash scenario when a player enters a mutated biome. The patch also makes it so bats spawn more often, because who doesn’t want that to happen?

Guardians Of The Galaxy: Make You Own Baby Groot Cake

Guardians Of The Galaxy: Make You Own Baby Groot Cake

Many fans are excited for the upcoming release of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. One British baker felt so inspired by the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer that she baked a Baby Groot-shaped cake and recorded the whole process to share with other fans.

In the video above, Zoe of Zoe’s fancy cakes shows fans how to create a cake that look’s like Baby Groot’s head using some fondant, food spray, edible paint, and other baking tools and ingredients.

Here’s how Zoe describes the process:

“Cream together the butter and sugar, then beat in the eggs and vanilla essence. Once smooth and creamy, fold in the flour.

Pour in to a greased cake tin and bake in the oven at 180degrees for approximately 40 minutes, until golden brown and a knife comes out clean.”

Sounds delicious. Now, who’s up for giving it a try in their own kitchen? The entire recipe is available on the Zoe’s Fancy Cakes YouTube page beneath the video.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn (Slither). The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora; Dave Bautista (Spectre) as Drax; Vin Diesel (Furious 7) as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper (American Sniper) as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker (Jumper) as Yondu; Karen Gillan (The Big Short) as Nebula; and Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls) as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff (Oldboy), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Everest), Chris Sullivan (The Knick, The Drop) and Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight, The Thing).

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.

Will Iron Fist Wear His Costume In The Netflix Series?

Will Iron Fist Wear His Costume In The Netflix Series?

Marvel’s Iron Fist is less than two months away. As the latest Marvel series on Netflix draws near, more information about the character, the series, and his role and the crossover series Marvel’s Defenders.

There’s also been plenty of photos of Iron First, but there’s something missing from these. None of the photos of Iron Fist so far show Danny Rand in the actual Iron Fist costume. Instead, actor Finn Jones has mostly appeared in an open shirt that shows off the dragon tattoo on Iron Fist’s chest.

So will fans get to see the classic Iron Fist costume on the Netflix series? It’s hard to say. Looking at the three Marvel series released on Netflix so far, the pattern has been downplaying the importance of a superhero persona for these street level heroes.

In Marvel’s Daredevil Season 1, Matt Murdock only dons the Daredevil costume in the final episode. He wears an upgraded version throughout Marvel’s Daredevil Season 2. However, Daredevil is an exception among the Defenders in that he is the only hero in the group who has a true secret identity.

Jessica Jones briefly played with the idea of a costume and a secret identity, mostly at the urging of Trish Walker. Jessica’s run-in with Kilgrave put an end to that and to her time playing at being a superhero. Now she’s private investigator with a public persona.

In a way, the very persona of Luke Cage is a secret identity, since Cage was born Carl Lucas. Even so, Cage doesn’t make use of a costume. There was a reference to Cage’s classic costume in an episode of Marvels Luke Cage, but otherwise, the closest thing to a costume the Cage has worn is a hoodie. Now that his identity and abilities are publicly known, he has even less reason to pursue a secret superhero persona.

So where does that leave Iron Fist? If Danny Rand is planning on keeping his persona as a corporate leader, then he may employ some kind of masked hero identity, perhaps by cutting some eyeholes into a bandana. This seems like it will become a necessity eventually.

On the other hand, perhaps Rand leaves his corporate life behind and joins up with Luke Cage to form Heroes for Hire full time? If that’s the case, he may not need a superhero costume and if he does use one it would almost certainly be a bit more modern and realistic than his comic book look.

Our best bet is that we at least see a version of Iron Fist’s classic costume during his journey to K’un Lun. The look would seem far less outlandish in such a fantastic realm. Whether or not he leaves the look behind when he returns to Earth could go either way.

There have been hints that the threat the Defenders will face in their series is most closely related to Iron Fist lore. If that is the case, there may be cause for Iron Fist to have a more traditional look.

Marvel’s Iron Fist premieres on Netflix on March 17, 2017.

James Gunn Releases Another Piece Of The Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Score

James Gunn Releases Another Piece Of The Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Score

Last week, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn flew to London to work on the film’s score. Over at Abbey Road Studios, Gunn joined composer Tyler Bates as he composed the music for the upcoming Marvel movie.

While the director previously shared the first pieces of the score during a Facebook Live video, he decided to leave fans with one more sneak peak before heading back to the States.

On his personal Instagram account, Gunn shared a look at a chorus recording pieces of the music. The group vocal artists sounds incredible together, and will surely add to the already-promising composition of Guardians Vol. 2.

Fans have enjoyed Gunn’s sharing of this behind-the-scenes work, as it helps to bring them closer to the filmmaking process. Instead of just seeing a finished product in the theater, Gunn helps viewers to realize how much it takes to make a movie happen. He allows people to see other folks – just like them – help bring the Guardians to life.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.

Agents Of SHIELD: Could Bobbi And Hunter Return?

Agents Of SHIELD: Could Bobbi And Hunter Return?

Bobbi “Mockingbird” Morse (Adrianne Palicki) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) were part of the Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD family for two seasons, with Bobbi debuting as a triple agent and Lance joining in as her nearly clueless mercenary ex-husband.

Bobbi and Lance sacrificed their career in espionage to save their teammates and were honored with a “spy’s goodbye” from Coulson’s team. That wasn’t supposed to be the end for them. Palicki and Blood were meant to reprise their characters in the Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD spinoff titled Marvel Most Wanted.

ABC passed on Most Wanted. Now fans wonder if Bobbi and Lance could be headed by to Agents of SHIELD. According to the showrunners, probably not.

“One can only dream,” Agents of SHIELD executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen tells Entertainment Weekly. “That’s always on our minds.”

“Once an agent, always an agent, so it’s always out there in the ether,” executive producer Jed Whedon adds. “But right now we’re taking a breather.”

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. In the next episode, “Hot Potato Soup,” Agents Sam and Billy Koenig (Patton Oswalt) are hunted down to get at the Darkhold book, and only Coulson and the team can save them before the clock ticks out.

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns with a vengeance for the fourth exciting season in an all new time period, Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. ET. In the aftermath of their journey to another planet, Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the rest of the team were driven more than ever to put an end to the Hydra organization. Little did they know that they were up against the deadliest threat they’ve ever faced – an extremely powerful Inhuman, Hive, who was transported back from Maveth in the body of their worst enemy, Grant Ward. The team was able to thwart and kill Hive and take down Hydra, but they are all still mourning the death of fellow agent and Inhuman, Lincoln Campbell.”

New Spider-Man Animated Series Will Debut In 2017

Our favorite web-slinger has a brand new animated series on the way.

Marvel’s Spider-Man will premiere next year on Disney XD, bringing fans back to his early days of being both a teenager and a superhero.

Marc Buhaj, senior vice president of programming and general manager for Disney XD announced:

“Spider-Man is the biggest action hero in the world. He is an iconic character whose duality makes him both relatable and aspirational for the Disney XD audience. He promises “a fresh take on a beloved classic that will engage both new and existing Spidey fans with its compelling drama, exciting action and the signature sense of comedy.”

With Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man (involving a team-up Nick Fury and SHIELD) coming to an end around January 2017, fans will have a younger, more inexperienced Peter Parker series to look forward to.

The new series will focus on Peter Parker learning how to come into his own superpowers while facing the pressures of being a normal teen. Headed up by Kevin Shinick (Robot Chicken) and supervising director Philip Pignotti (Marvel’s Avengers Assemble), Marvel’s Spider-Man will have a back to basics approach.

Cort Lane, senior vice president of Marvel Animation and Family Entertainment added, “The simple title reflects a back-to-basics approach, it’s just filled with heart and humor.

2017 is going to be a big year for the young Peter Parker with the upcoming movie Spider-Man: Homecoming starring Tom Holland and now the new animated series Marvel’s Spider-Man.
